Occupation Re-creator
Location Venice, California
Introduction My friends call me G. I run a tiny creative space with my husband Ry in Venice, Ca where we live, work and love. We take inspiration from all elements of nature that has sustained the hands of time such as the rugged deserted coastline of beautiful Big Sur, the magic of the massive and awe-inspiring coastal redwoods, to the old growth Spanish Oaks and ancient boulders caressing the interiors of Topanga Canyon. We love all things that are a bit weathered and generally off the beaten path. All our goods are hand-made using mostly recycled, re-claimed, vintage materials chosen for their specific reflection on nature that we admire so much, whether it be a certain color that captures an overcast coastal horizon or the mottling on a fabric reminiscent of a salty gray shore-line. All new materials we use are either organic in nature or ecologically made but used sparingly. Our hope is that our wares will mimic and compliment your favorite old pair of jeans or the impossibly soft holey t-shirts that you will never part with, ultimately feeling and looking better with age. We strive to make “non-disposable” aesthetically pleasing goods that are most importantly utilitarian in nature.
