Introduction My parents, John Lindskog and Lynne Evarts, started Coppercreek Camp in 1965 when they purchased the raw land. Their dream was a children's summer camp where kids could spend their summers playing with friends in the great outdoors. We lived in a one room log cabin with no indoor plumbing for awhile as Dad built the main house. I have spent every summer there since except the one when I was 17 and I hated my Dad. I got a summer job elsewhere and had the worst summer of my life. I quickly decided my Dad was an alright guy and I needed to be back at camp! I now run the place with my partners, Becky and Craig Hogland. We are all raising our daughters at camp as well. It creates girls who can drive tractors at 8 years old, feed 40 horses, ride them, ride mountain bikes, kayak, climb, hike, like sleeping outside, bugs, dirt, full moons, and sleep overs with 100 other people! The wonder of the internet has now started to re-connect everyone who ever came to camp and it is a joyful thing. Hopefully, this blog will help that process.
