Derek E. Baird, M.A. is an education technologist specializing in social media, Gen Y, e-learning, and educational media. He has designed online communities for clients in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Recent clients include: Yahoo! Teachers, Museum of Tolerance,The National College of Ireland, Stone Yamashita Partners, and YackPack. He has published articles on ed tech, social media, and online community in several journals including: Campus-Wide Information Systems, TechLearning, and The Journal of Education Technology Systems. Derek received his M.A. in Education Technology from the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) at Pepperdine University, and has taught in the Education Technology program.
