| Introduction | Along with our two young sons, my husband and I relocated to South Florida from Long Island when the Miami Dolphins’ Larry Czonka was a household name. Over 40 years later, I consider myself a native Floridian, but credit learning how to drive on the narrow parkways in New York City for my ability to merge onto I-95 without breaking into in a cold sweat. After hanging up my reading specialist mantle, I set out to prove my teaching job didn’t define me. Knowing tennis and golf were not my strong suits, I redirected my teaching energies into a writing career. It didn’t take long for my work to appear in national newspapers and magazines and for my book talk calendar to fill. When not clicking away on my keyboard,I have a host of interests ranging from Bridge to funning with my husband and fantastic friends. We love our re-energized lives as retirees since moving from our home in Broward County to the unofficial retirement capitol of our peers—Boynton Beach, Florida. | Favorite Movies | I really don't have one movie that I absolutely love. One rule determines if I will rewatch a movie:it had to leave me with a warm feeling. |
| Favorite Music | All music that is upbeat and not loud. Show tunes rank high on my list with hard rock, rock bottom. |
| Favorite Books | As with movies and music, a book must not leave me down. I read the last page first because if I don't like the ending, I won't read the book. I do like historic non-fiction books. |
