| Introduction | I was a teacher for five years before I left to raise my son, Sam. I am finding this new career challenging and enraging and wonderful. Among the things I try to do for myself are: yoga, reading, and writing. For my family, I cook, clean, and entertain. Somewhere in that nexus is the definition of Me. When you have your first child in your 30s, you need to rediscover and redefine Me. It can be a long row to hoe, and I find that most of that row is in the kitchen. Sometimes begrudgingly in the kitchen. I would never turn down English short ribs, duck, creme brulee, pain au chocolat, black tea, avocado, or raspberries. |
