| Introduction | The background to this women's ride, for those who aren't familiar with the Conga concept: the term was coined last year by (if I remember correctly) Donna the Doc in Florida, USA from the Women Who Ride forum http://forums.delphiforums.com/distaff/start to describe the Florida-British Columbia ride of Flo. Flo purchased a bike from Donna and rode it home from FL-BC, ably accompanied by a bevy of different gals (and a couple of fellas) across the States. Some rode with her a matter of hours, some a number of days. Flo and Donna became such good friends that Flo plans to travel again to the US for a Conga II - her story can be found at http://goinwitheflo.blogspot.com. So, that was the inspiration for a cross-Canada gals' ride for the summer of 2009. |
