| Introduction | I am a stay-at-home mom of two amazing kids, ages 5 (giraffegirl) and 7 (giraffeboy), who have marfan syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that affects many parts of the body including the heart and eyes. My husband (giraffedaddy) also has marfan syndrome. This blog is meant to be a place for me to reflect on the challenges of raising kids with this disorder, as well as the multitude of lessons my kids are constantly teaching me about appreciating what you have in life. |
