About Me
For more than two decades Hennie Deboeck worked in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East as a project manager and financial analyst for the World Bank. During her many travels she encountered many women artisans and was struck by their creativity, their enthusiasm but also their poverty and economic position in life. Upon retirement from the World Bank, Hennie decided to address these issues by establishing in January 2001 e-maginativegifts, a dynamic business creating markets for products made by women artisans from around the world.
