| Introduction | I am a 44 year old mom of 2. Recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Now on leave from part time work as a Social Worker in addictions. Am also a former Cataloguer and Systems Librarian. Did not have the brightest start to life, did not expect to graduate high school, never mind university. Now hold 2 undergraduate degrees (B.Sc., B.S.W.) and a graduate professional degree (M.L.I.S.). Have worked in a variety of fields - biology, ecology, psychology, information management, mental health/addictions. Live with my husband and kids, in southern Ontario GTA region. In a townhouse complex. Not the log cabin of my dreams, but it's ours, and we'll get there. Looking forward to one day living out in the bush in northern Canada somewhere (hoping for Yukon). Looking forward to the kids being older and helping with some backcountry wilderness adventures. For now making due with unexpected adventures in the medical realm. Life. What a ride. |
