Introduction	I'm a new teacher in three rural elementary schools, working as a Reading Specialist. This often means my students are those who struggle most, but they're the ones who often have the most to gain. I love what I do. I recently returned from a term-cut-short as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Moldova. I loved it, I miss it, but I'm glad to be home. American schools and I are an exceptionally good match for one another. I am a teacher through-and-through, an optimist, an avid reader, a storyteller, a thoughtful mind, an attentive listener, a nature-lover, a perfectionist, a walker-through-rainstorms, and an appreciator of little things. I am overemotional, often motherly, easily excited, patient with others, short with myself, and quite stubborn. I have no plans to change any of those traits, but in loads of other ways, I love working to be a better me. I do not promise literary masterpieces here. I just like to have a place to spill my guts from time to time, and I thought if some of my loved ones are curious what I’m up to, this would be a good approach. I hope you enjoy some of what I have to share!
