About Me

Martin Liew is a self-taught photographer. Martin's first project titled Nite Projekt, which took off in late 2004. He makes all his night pictures with an old Shanghai TLR on black & white medium format film. Nite Projekts focuses on abandoned buildings, urban landscape and the aesthetic of the night scenery. Martin makes nocturne (light-painting) pictures as well, with film and digital SLRs. He enjoys making pictures in the night becuz he loves the tranquility and calmness of the night where time and space stand still. He enjoys every single moment of the image making process where he seeks solitude by expressing through night photography.
