| Introduction | Valerie first met Amanda in the spring of 2006 when Amanda student taught with Valerie at Currituck County High School in a tenth grade honors world literature class. Almost immediately, the two became the best of friends and began dialoguing on all matters English language arts. Amanda's optimism and new ideas revived Valerie who fell in love with teaching all over again. The two have been collaborating ever since. Discussions in person have become much easier recently now that Amanda is working as a teacher facilitator at CCHS. We're both waiting for the day an opening happens in the English department at CCHS as Amanda is such a natural fit with the rest of the English teachers. We've already adopted her as part of our department anyway, so that future day will just make it "official." :) |
