| Introduction | Since the third grade, Rohan Krishnan has enjoyed writing far more than solving math problems in school. In 2008, Rohan followed the election between Barack Obama and John McCain and began getting interested in the media and politics. He is currently going into the eleventh grade at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North in Princeton, NJ, where he has worked for the student-run radio station for the past two years. Last year he helped broadcast local basketball games as part of the school’s sports staff as well as interview many district officials for news packages. In addition to Journalism, Rohan also enjoys traveling. He has visited many cities in Europe including Venice, Rome, Paris and London and hopes to see more of the continent in the future. On his spare time, he enjoys meeting up with friends, watching movies, playing video games and practicing guitar. He hopes the Young Scholar’s Program at the University of Maryland will help him gain greater insight into possible careers in the media. |
