About me

Gender Female
Introduction Chocoholic, jazz head ... prone to rants, and a defender of refugees. I married a terrific guy who happens to be a rabbi, so that probably makes me the most reluctant rebbetzin this side of the Mississippi River. I've been into "Jewish stuff" for as long as I can remember. The language, the food, the texts, the people, and my family of Shoah survivors' bittersweet history ... I nearly scratched my mother's eyes out during Hebrew school, but my disdain for Jewish learning ended the moment I stepped off the bimah as a Bat Mitzvah. I may not always appreciate my job as a de facto unpaid assistant rabbi, but I do appreciate the community we're delighted to build and call our own, and am excited about the future for Jewish life in the 21st century.
