About Me

I moved to Kentucky in 1992 and began covering and writing about outdoors for The Courier-Journal the following year. Readers have been plainspoken, honest and kind. A writer can ask for no more and I thank you.

My work appears in other venues, including Field & Stream magazine where I serve as a contributing editor. But Kentucky is home now.

I’m occasionally asked, “You get to hunt and fish all the time then write about it for living? Sounds like a pretty good deal.”
