About Me

I love my job as a middle school English teacher. This will be my 6th year and it's getting better and easier every year. In November 2007, we welcomed our beautific and amazing baby Ishmael (aka Baba). He is the joy of my life. Before he came, I did go through some hard times: In 2006, my mom passed away suddenly from congestive heart failure. In early 2007, we lost our baby, who was stillborn at 7 months. I'm hoping we've had enough bad luck! My goals for 2009 include writing more poetry and fiction, having another healthy baby, and cleaning my house. Follow me on my crazy journey.
