Introduction | I discovered the joy of creating years ago and have tried different things: rubber stamping and card making, polymer clay, etc. I got into making jewelry while I was playing around with polymer clay. That led to the discovery of metal wire, specifically sterling silver and copper, and their wonderful qualities, wire working and forging, and the beauty of semi-precious gemstones. Thanks to a treasure-trove of generous artists, I have learned alot from books and the internet. While I have taken some classes, my dream would be to enroll in the College of Arts and Sciences at NMSU with an emphasis on metalsmithing and jewelry. I guess you could say that the jewelry I have made so far has a certain look, however I think that it is very diverse. I can't seem to find my niche and focus on any one particular style of jewelry, there are too many different ideas and things that I want to try! I have a store on Etsy, a place where other 'artists' and crafters like me can set up shop and sell our work. I hope you will visit. |
