| Introduction | I was born and raised in southern New England, and, although I have been in west Texas for 20 years, I still consider myself a southerner. Many years ago I completed the PhD program at the University of Wisconsin where I wrote on Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and his historical imagination. For the past 14 years I have felt joyfully called to work with middle school students at a small, independent Episcopal school. |
