About Me

I'm a practical theologian at Drew University where I teach religious studies and direct the Communities of Shalom Initiative for prophetic leadership and community development. I write books and articles on spirituality and social justice, and love to lead mission trips to Malawi and other favorite places in the world. I like helping local groups increase their capacity to transform their communities and the world. Currently, I'm assisting a local United Methodist Church in Malawi care for 80 AIDS orphans and abandoned children, and providing Hope Scholarships to send some of the them to secondary school. I'm also seeking sponsors for 10 Village Well projects in Malawi. WorldHope Corps is an agency I started to profile, celebrate, fund, and facilitate faith-motivated relief and development work in the world. This creative space serves as my travel blog and call for action. It's also my space for theological reflection, social commentary, and mission updates. I invite you to subscribe or link to this blog for live feeds.
