About Me
For the past ten years I have been the Vanilla Queen. You can learn how I became the Queen at the site of my virtual Queendom, The Vanilla.COMpany, www.vanilla.com. My educational training was in anthropology, which has been a burning passion for me since I first discovered that there were other ways of living in the world than the one in which I lived and knew. My interest is not in the classic academic model, but in culture and personality, our ways of being in our daily lives. One of my life gifts is as a writer and educator. My desire is to assist in narrowing the gulf between people worldwide, opening doors to understanding and valuing our differences and similarities. We are, after all, members of the human tribe, regardless of our individual origins geographically, culturally and politically. My joys are the garden, the sea, the mountains, the trees, healthy food prepared with love, laughter, spirit, dancing, celebrating the sweet and bittersweet qualities of life, chocolate, children, friends and family worldwide, the strength of women, resourcefulness, and an honoring of the great creative conscious and unconscious energy that ties us all together.
