About me

Introduction	I'm a library science (MLIS) student at UCLA with a dream of becoming a youth services librarian in a public library. Until then, I read YA and children's lit and learn as much as I can about youth services. I am originally from D.C., though I have also lived in Ohio, Boston, Italy and now L.A. I received my undergrad degree from Kenyon College in African-American history. When I'm not reading YA, I love baseball (the Orioles) and dogs (mine is a big lab/shepherd mix). My favorite YA book is The Book Thief, my favorite picture book is Miss Rumphius, my preferred genre is sci-fi/fantasy, and I have a particular interest in international youth literature.
