About Me

Pascal J.W. van den Noort, (1950) has vast experience in creating and setting up (inter) national and global organizations, networks, projects, conferences and events. He actually is Executive Director of Velo Mondial & of Velo.Info / Spicycles. He is Member of the Advisory Board of the World Carfree Network and serves on the board of the foundation: ‘In the footsteps of Mandela’. He is correspondent to World Streets and member of the International Advisory Council to The New Mobility Agenda. He is actually involved in the setting up of research projects that promote sustainable urban development at a wider level and specializes in making information for sustainability mobility better available. He is involved in setting up 'Amsterdam Cycling to Sustainability', a project to promote Amsterdam in the context of sustainable mobility. He is partner for dissemination in one of Europe's CIVITAS PLUS projects called MIMOSA, working with Gdansk, Talinn, Funchal, Bologna and Utrecht. Before setting up Velo Mondial he was the founding Executive Director of the Dutch Aids Foundation as well as of the Global Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (GNP+).
