About Me

While I grew up in rough and tumble innercity Chicago during the 50s and 60s, I was born in Corinth, MS. I have lived in Florida, Upstate New York, and now in West Virginia, following teaching jobs. I teach writing and English in all its permutations, primarily at the college level and sometimes senior and junior high school. I have a passion for crime writing and history and have combined the two in my seventh series that began with City for Ransom, followed by Shadows in White City, to be followed by City of the Absent. I have written now some 44 ODD books, mostly crime novels...is a crime they were ever written, some say. I say all the books I have written have led me to this latest series. I am also doing a paranormal crime series with PSI Blue and Deja Blue. I love to read and to travel, and all my destinatins, like many folks I meet, wind up in my books. Be careful or you might wind up in one of my novels! A lotta folks get killed off inside those pages. I deal in forensics and serial killers.

What first name do you think my grandfather went by? What was your grandfather's and grandmother's sir names? I find old names fascinating and they work their way into my books.
