About Me

FT trader/investor for past 5 years. Previously worked for two decades as a business strategy consultant. Education includes a BA from Stanford and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon. More broadly: I'm a militant eclectic, but a pacifist of the heart. I'm non-judgmental, yet very discriminating. I delight in playing with language and meaning, while remaining candid and direct. I seek many acquaintances, but only a select few close friends. I also firmly believe that the best way to learn your way around is to get lost a few times. I have an insatiable curiousity and I like variety and new challenges. I am interested in the creative spark, the metamorphosis of ideas and the human spirit. I enjoy the outdoors (hiking, kayaking, biking, running, etc.) and love music (especially classical and jazz.) For my creative side, I take photographs and write an occasional short story. I read in periodic bursts of activity, and am always looking for suggestions on interesting new authors. In my spare time I am storyboarding The Revenge of Wylie Coyote, a home movie. Useless trivia: I once broke the world pogo stick jumping record without knowing it.

The wicked backspin caught you off guard. How will you play it off without losing your footing?

When in doubt, always hit a long high lob...
