Introduction I am wife and mother to the greatest family in the world. We have a terrifc life on the South Shore of Long Island. Here, we get the best of all worlds -- about a mile from our Town's private beach, about 10 miles from the beautiful Robert Moses, a train ride away from the Greatest City in the World and some of the most beautiful homes in all shapes and sizes that you'll ever see. I love it here. For the last seven years I was in real estate in Queens. Now I'm back home where my heart is, here on Long Island.
Interests I love to cook. My secret ambition is to be the Next Food Network Star but I really don't think I am "TV Ready." So I try to be the star of my own kitchen as often as I can. My passion is writing but I have let that go by the wayside over the past number of years. I need to get back into it again. It is a sad existence when you don't make time for what you are passionate about. Since becoming a homeowner, I have gotten more into decorating and light (extremely light) remodeling projects. Also a rabid NY Rangers fan. Loved Renney but glad to have Torts there for the next leg of our journey. Great to see Avery back in a blushirt although I am not sure about their more recent choices.
Favorite Movies Favorite comedy: Midnight Run. My friend Susan dragged me to the movies to see this when it first came out. I just couldn't see Robert DeNiro as a comic actor and Charles Grodin's humor just didn't tickle my funny bone. But holy cow! Was this movie non-stop funny. Who'd a thunk it? Two straight guys carrying all these laughs. Drama: Godfather (parts 1 and 2). To me, this is really one movie. However, I don't like the Godfather Saga or Godfather Epic when they splice the two in chronologial order. Again, I resisted watching this movie for years. Then one night I was channel surfing at 2 a.m. and I came upon the scene with Al Pacino in the toilet and I couldn't tear myself away. Get the deluxe DVD and watch all the deleted scenes. While the finished products are perfect, the deleted scenes are gems. Zombie Film: Night of the Living Dead -- the original. I had the mind blowing opportunity to meet George Romero this past June at the Fango convention. He is too cool. I was dumbstruck so I wasn't able to say anything more clever than "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a big fan." Real orignal, right? Zombie Comedy: Shawn of the Dead. This amazing on two levels -- a really cool zombie flick and a laugh out loud comedy. These guys are brilliant.
Favorite Music The Beatles all the way. I was born the year they broke up so I never got to experience Beatlemania first hand. I did see Sir Paul at MSG in 2002 and it was a surreal, spiritual experience that was as close as I could have gotten to seeing the Fab Four. I have ecelectic taste in music, gravitating towards heavier guitar based rock (no hip-hop or rap or dance music). The Ramones and Ozzy (first two albums) top my list of favorite artists. I am addicted to Little Steven's Underground Garage and am into Swedish rockers like Hellcopters and The Hives.
Favorite Books The Stand, Harry Potter series
