Introduction	I am a RN working in an ICU part-time, going to school full-time to be a nurse practitioner, and expecting a baby in March of 2013. I am married to a wonderful man who is in a DO program to become a doctor (a gastroenterologist, as of right now). My world was changed on 4/11/2012 when I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Celiac Disease is an autoimmune disorder of the small bowel in which exposure to gluten causes an inflammatory response. Gluten is anything containing wheat, rye, or barley. Basically, no gluten unless I want to be in severe abdominal pain or increase my chances of GI cancer.
