About Me

I am a scribe, formerly a columnist with The New Straits Times, Watan, Sun, etc., and a guest of the Institut Alam Dan Tamadun Melayu (Institute of the Malay World and Civilization), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. I was a Research Assistant at the Australian National University, Canberra, for a couple of years and then an archivist in the Malaysian National Archive for a year before becoming a journalist. This blog is mainly about my reflections on the origins and genesis of the Malay, holding on against the odds for religious tolerance and the freedom of conscience. Please feel free to respond.
