Sarah Finlay

About Me

I work in the Finlays Skiing office in Kelso, looking after the Finlays website and managing the books. I am married to Roddy, who is managing director of the company. I worked for a season as a chalet girl and fell in love with Val d’Isere, the mountains and skiing. Roddy and I then decided to set up the company so we could work for ourselves and spend winters in the Alps enjoying the skiing and alpine climate. Later we moved to the Scottish Borders and Richard, Roddy’s brother joined us in the business took over the French end of the operation. We do ski whenever we can and still love it, as do our two teenage children. They both want to spend a winter on the ski slopes so we are keeping them practising their cooking skills! I keep myself fit for skiing by walking the dog, swimming and yoga and do try to get away to do some hill walking.
