Introduction | Years ago while I was a college student, I walked through a weaving shop in Boise. Seeing the looms and the handwoven fabric in that shop opened a world to me that had been previously unknown. Who knew that fiber in its many forms-yarn, roving, fabric- could be so addictive?? Many years later I was living in Colorado and fortunate enough to take a beginning weaving class from Dottie Weir. That started my love of handwoven fabric and weaving in all of its forms. Twelve years later, I am still weaving on four looms in my house and I’ve added spinning to the fiber addiction. I also have a love of quilts, having quilted for many years, and sold my work at shows. My hope is that this blog might inspire someone else to discover the joy of throwing a shuttle and creating something unique and handmade. |
