Introduction I have always loved street photography. I like its intimacy and immediacy. I have always admired how photographers like Vivian Maier, Henri Cartier-Bresson, or Garry Winogrand, could in a fraction of a second, seemingly capture the life story of a complete stranger. It has always struck me as somehow magical. I'm an amateur with no formal training. Many years ago as a young man I had dabbled in black and white film photography. I had an old Rollei 35mm and developed my own film and prints. I enjoyed it and learned a little along the way. However, as life unfolded the time for photography became harder to find as other interests and responsibilities took priority. So here I am some 25 odd years later re-visiting and re-learning with new tools. In October of 2011 I took the streets with my camera in hand and started photographing strangers. I started this blog in order to share my journey.
