| Introduction | I live in the eastern side of the Las Vegas valley at the base of Frenchman's Hill. I farm in my suburban yard that was the most rocky, soil-depressed area I've ever seen. I favor raised beds filled with homemade soil, regularly amended with compost, infiltrated by earthworms and continually covered with mulch. I figure that if I can grow edible food on my lot in this climate (115F in the summer!) then you can, too! |
