About me

Introduction Given that my surname is Hall, and I have a serious thing for food, I decided it was about time I started my own Food Hall. Hence the name of this blog. I am in my third year of a Law degree, and when I’m not reading up on the law relating to company formation or other such exciting matters, I’m usually eating and/or drinking wine. Sometimes gin and tonic. I love food, and embrace the mantra of Miranda every day – why go for a run when you can have a burger. My favourite things are Thai Green Curry, fries with aioli and beer, eating dinner at cheap and cheerful Asian BYO restaurants, cups of Harney’s tea with gingernut biscuits, sea salt caramel chocolates and drinking Pimms on the roof in the sunshine. I like a sausage roll eaten from the brown paper bag, honey toast, big plump strawberries dusted with icing sugar and cheese scones from Martha’s Pantry in Wellington, with lashings of real butter. I have a collection of over 45 cookbooks, collect vintage biscuit tins and like spending Saturday mornings spending too much money at farmers’ markets. I like pub quizzes too. xx G.H.
