| Introduction | Warm memories of being in my grandfather's art studio find themselves nestled within my work. I remember the fragrance of oil paints and seeing the crumpled tubes lying in half open drawers. These, the rich memories of a child, formed and shaped the artist that I would become. Perhaps it is within this "child's mind" that I imagine and create. Most of my work conveys this sense of history. My studio is a diorama of my life and work. It is filled with old treasures that will find themselves re-visited to begin a new life. It is a place for transformation, for my work and for me. |
