About Me

I’m not a big fan of people, as a species. I think a lot of people are selfish, mean and stupid, and their insistence that I take them as seriously as they take themselves inevitably leads to disappointment all the way around. Still, I’m somewhat of an idealist, and the few people who I actually do like, I tend to absolutely adore. I’m in my late 30s, disabled by chronic illness, queer. I live in southwestern suburban Ohio with my housemate and best friend E and the cats we are required to have by lesbian law. I’m a theory-head, a feminist, and probably way further to the left than you are. People have always told me that I think too much, which is one of the most insulting things anyone can say to me as well as completely ass-headed, because if more people did more thinking, we’d all live in a far better world. I have figured out, more or less, the meaning of life. This has taken the edge off of my various neuroses in a major way.

If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?

I'll sleep when I'm dead; at the moment, the universe desires pondering.
