| Introduction | Since 2001, I've documented our German-American family's life through my blog as we moved from Germany to Italy to Washington DC in the United States. I was in the active duty Air Force for 9 years (I am now a Reservist) and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as a combat correspondent, and worked at the Pentagon for four years. I've shared it all: the ups and downs, the joy and the sadness. While I work doing social media for the government, I'm a writer and photographer, too, and most of all, proud wife and mother.
