| Introduction | I have two lifelong passions which have crisscrossed my life. The first: politics. This passion has dominated my professional career for most of the past 24 years. I was (at different times) a congressional intern and a wet-behind-the-ears junior staffer for the crankiest congresswoman in history, press secretary to a freshman congressman elected to the first Republican House in 40 years, senior writer at a major party convention, speechwriter to the first Republican governor of Maryland in 36 years, and Communications Director for a hypothetical committee ranking member. I always enjoy analyzing the actions of – and, occasionally, poking fun at – those still in the arena. The second: pop culture. I have an extensive knowledge of movies, TV, celebrity gossip, and pop culture and entertainment trends. I don’t promise that this blog will rival TMZ, but I can commit to making wry observations that will make you laugh from time to time. |
