About Me

I'm an Indy family law attorney with a passion for politics. I started in politics in 1988 as a volunteer for Evan Bayh. I then had brief stints during college with the Indiana Democratic Party, the Senate Democratic Caucus, and Governor Bayh's Office. After graduating from Wabash College in 1992, I managed Pam Carter's campaign for Attorney General. I then went to Bloomington, where I earned my law degree and master's in public affairs. Upon returning to Indianapolis, I managed the campaign of Attorney General Jeff Modiseet in 1996, and later served as Parliamentarian for the Indiana Democratic Party under Chairman Robin Winston. As I get older, I find that I'm more concerned about getting the right result than I am about who gets credit for it, which keeps me objective. I'm a bit disillusioned with my party at present, in particular in Marion County, but I have great hopes for what it can be if cajoled by conscience and blunt force of reason. I believe in the "Democratic Party Brand," and I won't let the whole company go down because of a few poorly chosen products. As a solo attorney, I have the freedom to speak my mind, and I don't intend to waste it.
