About Me

Having spent 20 years in journalism in newspapers, a wire service, and radio, to go with freelancing at magazines and newspapers, not to mention helping to ghost-write a book, I'm an incurable news junkie. I recently left the day-to-day grind of the newsroom after I realized my greatest satisfactions in life were waiting for me at home and not the office. To have your kids know you as a real person rather than a concept is better than any front-page byline. Still, you can't help but miss the adrenaline rush of a deadline. While this blog doesn't get me back in the game, I'll be actively watching on the sidelines.
