| Introduction | Author, Speaker, and Columnist. Margaret has a masters degree from Michigan State University in Communications, is an Advanced Master Gardener, and Certified Greenhouse Grower. She is the coordinator and originator of the garden society at St. Francis Retreat Center in DeWitt, Michigan where she and volunteers build and maintain gardens of prayer and memorial. Margaret grew up in the greenhousing business, and has been involved with the green industry for over 30 years as an employee, consultant, writer and educator. She has taught gardening programs for over 20 years and her classes are certified by Michigan State University for Master Gardener’s continuing education hours. Margaret’s first book A Garden of Visible Prayer: Creating a Personal Sacred Space One Step at a Time is available through FAITH Catholic Books. Her second gardening book will be released in 2013. She currently writes a gardening column for The Jackson Citizen Patriot Newspaper, a division of Booth Newspapers. |
