Introduction Hi my name is Loyd, I am a vet of the US Army served in Germany and Viet Nam. I had a non-descript childhood with typical events in growing up. I rather floundered a bit after Viet Nam, drove Semis for a while. I married a couple yrs out of the Service, and decided to use the GI Bill to get some education. I got into law enforcement while getting my A/A, 5 yrs later, I am going through a divorce, struggling to make ends meet, it was hitting me hard, but I held on. I have a brother who always confided in me, and I in him. We were close, talked a lot, he kept sharing the word with me over, and over. I’d say I’m not interested, but he wasn’t deterred he kept coming back and every time I’d ask a question, he’d have answer that made perfect sense. I was always a sucker for good sense, logical, and the truth. To make a long story short I ended up taking some courses to deepen my knowledge of the word of God. I attend a non-denominational church for some time now. Looking back I can see times I could have died in one event or another, and just missed death by inches. I simply believe God is real, and he has saved me (quite a number times before I received the one that really counts).

For your birthday, your aunt gave you a maple syrup dispenser shaped like a rooster. Please write her a thank-you note:

I am so blessed to have an Aunt like you. Everyone who has seen my rooster loves it. I think they're also jealous I have an Aunt who loves me so much.
