| Introduction | We've come a long way, girlfriends! The winds have shifted, the tide is in. If you are a woman who skis or who wants to ski, the time is now! Attention to women in this sport, which had received scarcely a nod prior to the 1994 publication of my book WomenSki, has swelled to an obsession in the ski world. In an industry where change often occurs at glacial speed, a revolution is building against testosterone tyranny of the skiing domain. Manufacturers of ski equipment, retailers, ski resorts — virtually anyone involved in skiing — have heard the buzz: Women are different from men. They have different needs, desires and expectations on the slopes. So for you, my skiing sisters, I have designed this website. It's a place where you can go for insider information and discussions about everything skiing.
