About Me

I grew up in Delhi, India, love the city. The city gave me my love for music, movies hanging out & access to books to read. One summer, I think it was 1985, I read "Thorn Birds", "Gone with the Wind" and "Love Story" and I was hooked. After I got into engineering, I discovered Salman Rushdie and his "Midnights Children", the book opened me to amazing literary style. All fact, fiction and imagination combined in one book. This was only equalled and exceeded by Garcia Marquez in his "Love in the Time of Cholera". And who can forget Amaranta and Aureliano Jose in "One hundred years of solitude" I attended IT-BHU for my BS degree and UT-Austin for my MS and PhD in Chemical engineering. Laura and I met while I was at UT-Austin, married and we have 2 daughters. Making them laugh is one of the special joys of my life.
