| Introduction | I have wanted a horse ever since I can remember. My father had a horse and he put me on one and I had my first lesson when I was about 4 at Audubon Park Stables in New Orleans. From then on, I was hooked. But, horse ownership was never to be mine until middle age. I grew up in the city and could only ride horses when I was lucky enough to have lessons, or visit family friends with a farm or when I went to summer camp which I hated. Well, lo and behold after I got divorced at 45; I realized now is the time. And, I started riding again and bought my first horse. The story continues.... |
