Introduction Maternal and Child Health in Developing Countries is graduate level course offered by the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. This is a survey course designed to introduce the students to major health issues in the life stages of women and children and to present public health responses to these issues. The course will provide a broad view of the priority health problems of mothers and children, identify primary health care interventions, and discuss the barriers to care.
