Really sucked. So why exactly is he <a href="http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/07/russell-brand-to-host-mtv-awards-again.html">hosting again</a>?? For the love of God, why?? <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-7862767052898460141?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-63720494610106747722009-07-13T09:44:00.001-04:002009-07-13T09:44:39.440-04:00Sports<div>Last night I dreamed I was at a Laker game hanging out with Derek Fisher and some other random players (I think I just made them up for my dream because I didn't recognize them) in a room "backstage" before the game. I was really excited because we were going to get to hang out after the game too and I was going to get a picture with Fish then, and I have no idea why I couldn't have done it before the game too, but my hair was all poofy and crazy since I hadn't straightened it yet and so when they went out to play the game I asked the make-up artist (because in my dream, the bball players had hair and make-up) if I could borrow their flat iron. She said sure, and asked if I wanted a cut, too. She said she always gives a trim before she uses the flat iron. So I said ok, and then I tried to straighten my hair, but after I finished it I realized that (a) she cut my hair short, so it was between my shoulder and chin length, and (b) she'd shaved off part of my hair in the middle of each side of my head! It was like I had a racing stripe on the right, and an uneven ditch of hair on the left. It was a ridiculous disaster and I was so upset. Of course. And my dream ended before I could get back to hanging out with the Lakers, which was sad. </div> <div> </div> <div>So prompted by my dream this morning (and having Sports Center on in the background as I straightened my hair for reals this morning), I went to <a href="http://espn.com">espn.com</a> and apparently they show full eps of PTI online, but only for insiders. And so, after years of getting free Cal preseason reports from Matt, I think I have to break down and actually join, because if I was able to actually watch PTI on my computer rather than have to dvr it (which I for sure would never keep up with), I think it'd be worth it. If you do the two year membership it's only $2.50 a month, plus you get ESPN the magazine. The only downside is that you have to pay all $60 up front, and it would feel like so much cheaper if I just saw a bunch of charges for $2.50. </div> <div> </div> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-6372049461010674772?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-79908587713271544522009-07-11T20:23:00.002-04:002009-07-11T20:28:56.040-04:00Because planning is bad?Why does no one plan ahead on Craig's List? My lease is up September 7, and I'd kind of like to know where I'll be moving to, but everyone wants a tenant NOW. Not in a month or two (and I'd be willing to sign a lease for August 15 so I could kind of gradually move over). I don't understand why everyone is against doing things with a little bit of notice. I'm trying to force myself not to look at CL until August so I won't get insanely frustrated, but I don't like not knowing where I'm moving to. Hmph. <br /><br />I'm rewatching Angel Season 2 right now. Such a good show, makes me happy. Well, sad they canceled it long before they should of, but happy that it existed at least for a while. Better to have loved and lost, and all that.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-7990858771327154452?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-83655735525831190462009-07-09T09:17:00.000-04:002009-07-09T09:18:00.131-04:00I can't set my dvr if you don't tell me about these things ahead of timeI told you, he's <a href="http://watching-tv.ew.com/2009/07/top-chef-masters-neil-patrick-harris-.html">taking over the world</a>. Which is fine for shirts or random stuff like that, but semiprecious jewelry? I can imagine talking myself into earrings that are half off, but getting two pairs just seems over the top, even if it is for the price of one. <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-8821082918856170789?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-45842204692632562932009-07-07T15:12:00.001-04:002009-07-07T15:12:49.211-04:00I just have to saythat I don't give a crap that Michael Jackson died. Was it surprising? Sure. Am I sad that a weirdo child molester who had some fun songs back in the day is no longer around to be tabloid fodder? Not particularly. People need to stop with this over-the-top tribute crap and just get on with it. <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-4584220469263256293?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-59282766246002423802009-07-06T11:16:00.001-04:002009-07-06T11:16:51.612-04:00Side jobI'm teaching FOUR aerobics classes this week! I'm going to be crazy exercise girl, without even meaning to. I volunteered to sub a kickboxing class tonight (well, I was asked a while back and agreed to do it), and then last night I got trapped into subbing a step class for tomorrow (but not my usual class, so I have to come up with different choreography for it), so that'll be Sunday-Monday-Tuesday-Thursday teaching. At least hopefully I'll feel in good shape this weekend! I'm still kind of tired of working out, but I feel good when I'm doing it at least, so I guess it's just me wanting to be lazy. I didn't want to teach three days in a row, especially since two of the three are classes I need to spend more time prepping for, but hopefully it'll keep me in the good graces of the head lady. <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-5928276624600242380?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-81033923078466953552009-07-04T11:35:00.004-04:002009-07-04T11:39:41.437-04:00"Wild"lifeCool thing about Notre Dame? The squirrels there are so tame, you can literally feed them by hand. Here is a squirrel (Bob, in case you were wondering) eating part of a granola bar from my hand. Also, fyi, squirrels love Fiber One granola bars. But then again, who doesn't. They're delicious.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1K-eaPonj9k/Sk93TfzRKxI/AAAAAAAAAzk/-YXaLRZ0-D0/s1600-h/IMG_0860.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1K-eaPonj9k/Sk93TfzRKxI/AAAAAAAAAzk/-YXaLRZ0-D0/s320/IMG_0860.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354629658804562706" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1K-eaPonj9k/Sk93Tuinm3I/AAAAAAAAAzs/nLj-dG7-QbY/s1600-h/IMG_0858.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1K-eaPonj9k/Sk93Tuinm3I/AAAAAAAAAzs/nLj-dG7-QbY/s320/IMG_0858.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354629662761261938" border="0" /></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-8103392307846695355?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-10405518126297192082009-07-02T14:49:00.001-04:002009-07-02T14:49:56.999-04:00Time to go?This might be one of the slowest moving days in the history of the earth. Scary. <br /><br />The wedding was fun--Notre Dame is a pretty campus, and we had perfect weather, so thus far I approve of the midwest. I mean, as long as the weather looks like that. So I'm guessing I approve for like four months out of the year, max. Chicago was neat too, I miss being near the ocean (or a super huge lake would do). <br /><br />I've had <span style="font-style: italic;">Sweet Caroline</span> stuck in my head for days. Stupid wedding reception music! <br /><br />I miss television. Not that I don't have one, like some crazies, but there's so little new on now, it's sad. I got Angel seasons 2-4 on DVD because I found them cheap (and watched 1 on Hulu months ago) so maybe I'll start rewatching those to keep myself entertained. <br /><br />Hearing <a href="http://cooperific.blogspot.com/">Adam </a>talk about the bar exam makes me realize (a) I seriously cannot believe how much work I did for it last summer, and (b) how overjoyed I am never to be doing that again. <br /><br />This week is only three days long for me, between being out Monday for the wedding and Friday for the 4th of July...and yet it seems crazy long already. I woke up today very sad it wasn't Thursday.<br /><br />I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but when my lease is up I'm moving into DC proper, so I'm excited about that! I like my apartment here, but I'm bored with it. Ready to see what something new will look like. And if I could find someplace with a yard of sorts that would be the best thing ever, because not walking Jamie in the mornings (especially when the weather is awful) would be the best thing ever. <br /><br />Straightening my hair takes forever. If I were a boy (cue music) I'd have so much extra free time. <br /><br />I've only been working for nine months. It feels so much longer.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-3040644000042645720?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-9510905864521774752009-06-26T05:27:00.002-04:002009-06-26T05:32:00.510-04:00Four-day weekend!I get to at two more states to my "states I've been to" list this weekend. I'm going to Notre Dame for a wedding (bf's college friend...for once I'll be just a guest instead of a bridesmaid!), so we're flying into Chicago, which I've never been to before, and driving to South Bend, IN. Other than landing in O'Hare (which doesn't count, according to my rules), I've always kind of skipped over the middle of the country. No offense to the middle, but I've never had any reason to go there. So I'll finally get to see places like lovely Gary, Indiana...Try to contain yourselves as you wait for the pictures. See, you can't. I knew it.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-951090586452177475?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-376842759687365672009-06-22T20:00:00.001-04:002009-06-22T20:00:33.506-04:00EuphemismThe video screens in the metro stations say that there's a delay on the red line because a train is having "mechanical difficulties." That's a <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/06/22/washington.subway.crash/index.html">funny way of describing it</a>. Even though it's super nice outside and sunny, I still know that every day we're losing a minute or so. It's the opposite of the first day of winter, where it's freezing and awful but at least I know the days are getting a teeny bit longer. Damn psyching myself out. <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-5471837491500878086?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-28792385673609213932009-06-19T16:25:00.001-04:002009-06-19T16:25:18.284-04:00Hmph<a href="http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/06/kelly_kapowski_thwarts_fallons.html">Bitch</a>. <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-2879238567360921393?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-32000494567332654452009-06-19T09:57:00.001-04:002009-06-19T09:57:22.817-04:00That special time of yearOne of <a href="http://www.nationalflipflopday.com/">my favorite holidays</a>! <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-3200049456733265445?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-11677435843398911212009-06-18T06:45:00.002-04:002009-06-18T06:48:29.790-04:00Sun, come back!I clearly jinxed myself with the whole "<a href="http://revaitalia.blogspot.com/2009/06/early-riser.html">it's not so bad getting up early</a>" post, because the last few days it's been cloudy and icky outside, so I feel like I'm getting out of bed in the middle of the night, and I'm very not happy. I just want to curl up under the covers for another few hours! <br /><br />Also, why is it socially acceptable to whistle randomly in public? If someone was walking down the hallway singing we'd call them freaks (well, I would at least). So why is it ok to whistle and annoy everyone? Really, I'm just all messed up because of that office neighbor I have who is always whistling and annoying the crap out of me, because now I can't hear ANYONE do it without wanting to murder them. But now that I notice it more than before, I can't help but wonder why it's not considered weird/rude in the first place.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-1167743584339891121?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-55962617054133125522009-06-15T08:19:00.001-04:002009-06-15T08:19:50.075-04:00Safety first!I found a girl's wallet and keys this weekend when we were out on the town, and I was trying to track her down to return it, but her phone number wasn't on any of the cards in her wallet. She did have a Bally Total Fitness membership card, though, so I called them up and told them the situation and asked if I could get her phone number. I figured they'd say no for security reasons and just take my number and contact her on their own, but nope, I got two phone numbers and an email address! So lesson there is, Bally will help you stalk people. It's a good thing I'm an honest person! And a bad thing that I'm a member there, too. <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-5596261705413312552?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-26433644273279920432009-06-11T09:40:00.001-04:002009-06-11T09:40:48.592-04:00Glad to hear it?<div>Me (exiting elevator): Have a good day!</div> <div>Man in elevator: I certainly will. </div> <div> </div> <div> </div> <div>Is that not kind of weird? No "thanks, you too." And he was so definitive that he is, indeed, certainly going to have a good day today! I just found that odd. </div> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-2643364427327992043?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-35153644065761552732009-06-10T09:27:00.001-04:002009-06-10T09:27:26.731-04:00Early riserSince the end of April I've been getting into the office around 8 and staying til around 7 most days, trying to bill more hours. And it's not so bad, but I think that's entirely because the sun is up that whole time. It rises around 5:45 and sets around 8:30, so I don't feel like I'm at work in the middle of the night. It's been great for billing, because I can do 10 or 11 hours a day and not feel like I'm really killing myself. This is all going to go to hell once we fall back, though, I can tell. Getting up at 6:30 and it not getting light until I'm in the office already is not going to work. I hate winter -- it's June and I'm already preparing myself for how much I hate it! But especially the long nights, that might be even worse than the cold weather. Which is saying something. <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-3515364406576155273?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9961541.post-76277852284444761262009-06-09T12:00:00.002-04:002009-06-09T22:42:30.134-04:00DratApparently embed doesn't work when I email posts. So just click the link below to watch the video until I can fix it at home tonight. It's, as I said, the best thing ever. Mostly if you watched SBTB, granted, but still.<br /><br />UPDATE: Fixed!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/9961541-7627785228444476126?l=revaitalia.blogspot.com'/></div>Revahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11345869200474259890noreply@blogger.com0
