I remember people being worried that I was making a mistake getting off it, but I knew it was a part of the problem rather than the solution. People tell me that I look so much better now, that I carry myself with more confidence and energy than last spring and summer. I believe them because I feel a lot better. I’d say I’m no less happy than the average person, these days. Who knows, perhaps I’m even happier than average. I know people who have found the medication that works for them, and they are better off on it long term. That was not the case for me. Effexor definitely contributed to my symptoms. I’m proud that I finally convinced the doctors to let me off it.
