I was in this group of people and we were talking about their problems/ailments, when suddenly my right hand is hurting and I start opening and closing it (like you do when your hand feels stiff) and they start telling me I can't bend my fingers (in particular, my middle, ring, and pinky fingers). I say why and thay say don't you remember, you have cancer in your fingers and they discovered you can release cancerous particles into the air if you bend those 3 fingers! Well, I just start crying because I'm imagining having my fingers cut off and all the things I won't be able to do, that I only do well with my right hand. Like painting and bowling. It was sad.

Then, I have another dream where I'm at this ocean and I'm supposed to go swimming with sharks with a friend (it was one of those dreams where you are supposed to know people, but they don't look like anyone you know in real life). She dives in and all of a sudden these fins are swimming around and I just freak out! I scramble back into the boat and start panicking and finally get the boat back to shore. When I get to the beach house, there are all these people there and there are these 2 brothers (twins) that walk around on these really tall stilts. Well, one of them is really extra nice and kind of shy and we get to talking, but I accidentally break something of his and I feel really bad about it, but he's nice about it. I get around to asking why they are on stilts and he shows me. They were both born without their legs! So, they just made themselves really tall because it was fun. But the weirdest thing is that he had real legs, knee to foot, at the bottom of the stilts. I asked him if the legs grew separate from his body in the womb (even though in reality, I know that doesn't happen) and he just looked at me and then I woke up. So weird, but that was sad, too.

what the heck was going on in my mind last night?
For the first dream, here is some interpretation:
From Dream Moods Dictionary
To see your fingers in you dream, symbolizes physical and mental dexterity. They indicate manipulation, action and non-verbal communication. If you dream that your fingers fall off, then it suggests that you are letting a situation dominate you or dictate how you behave. You may be literally losing your grip on life.
To dream that your fingers are injured or have been chopped off, denotes your anxieties about your ability to accomplish some demanding task or perform in some waking situation.
To dream about your little finger, represents mental power, intellect, memory, and the power of communication.
To dream of your middle finger, denotes prudence, practicality, caution, responsibility, and hard work. Alternatively, the middle finger may symbolize the phallus.
To dream of your ring finger, represents success, popularity and creativity, It also has association with marriage, union, and commitments.

To dream that you have cancer, denotes hopelessness, grief, self-pity, and unforgiveness. You feel you are wasting your life away. This dream also represents areas in your life which are bothering you, disturbing you, and hurting you in some emotional way.

To dream of your hands, represents your relationship to those around you and how you connect with the world. Hands serve as a form of communication.
To dream that you hands are injured, denotes an attack on your ego.

Second Dream:
To see a shark in your dream, represents a person whom you see as greedy and unscrupulous. This person goes after what what he or she wants with no regards to the well-being and sensitivity of others. The shark may also be an aspect of your own personality which exhibit these qualities. Alternatively, you may be going through a difficult, painful, or unpleasant emotional period. The shark symbolizes feelings of anger, hostility, and fierceness. You may be an emotional threat to yourself or to others.

To dream that you are swimming, suggests that you are exploring aspects of your unconscious mind and emotions. The dream may be a sign that you are seeking some sort of emotional support. It is a common dream image for people going through therapy.

To dream that you are swimming underwater, suggests that you are completely submerged in your own feelings. You are forcing yourself to deal with your emotional difficulties.

To dream that you are in a panic, indicates a lack of control and power in your life. You may be feeling helpless in some situation or unable to make a clear decision.

To see the beach in your dream, symbolizes the meeting between your two states of mind. The sand is symbolic of the rational and mental processes while the water signifies the irrational, unsteady, and emotional aspects of yourself. It is a place of transition between the physical/material and the spiritual.

To dream that you are on the beach and looking out toward the ocean, indicates unknown and major changes that are occurring in your life. Consider the state of the ocean, whether it is calm, pleasant, forbidding, etc. (When I got back to the beach, and looked out at the ocean, it was full of sharks and big waves)

To dream that you are looking toward the beach, suggests that you are returning to what is familiar to you. Alternatively, you may be adapting or accepting to the changes and circumstances in your life.

To dream that you break something, indicates that changes are ahead for you. You want to change the direction that your life is headed. Alternatively, it suggests that you need to take things slower.

I couldn't find anything about legs on another person or stilts on another person, so that sucks. But according to these interepretations, I need therapy or something. I hope I'm okay.

~Pascha

Thursday Thirteen for Aug. 17, 2006

Thirteen Things Party Pascha can't wait for!

1. He was pretty detailed and he wrote it fresh--as soon as we got home. I will quote him and add my thoughts outside of the quotes. This is just crazy.

"My wife, kids and I were just on our way to OKC from here in Stilly. My wife likes taking hwy 33 to I-35, going the Langston-Coyle way. Before we reach Langston, my wife starts shouting that there was a woman on the side of the road waving her arms and that she is going to turn around. My wife is all about helping.

She turns around and this woman starts running toward our car screaming. Absolute hysterics. We get her to come to the passenger side and not the driver side, so she won't get hit, and she just keeps screaming, "DON'T LEAVE ME!! YOU HAVE TO HELP ME!" We ask her name, tell her to calm down because she is safe now, and what happened. She says she was taken from Wal-Mart in Waxahachie(sp) by a man with a gun. At that point I ask my wife for the cell phone. While I'm dialing 911 she starts screaming, "HE IS GONNA GET ME!! HE IS GONNA COME BACK FOR ME!!" My wife and I stay calm but are freaking out.

After telling the cops our location, I hesitate but get out of the car so she can get out of the rain. I was nervous about this because I could just picture her pointing a gun at my wife and telling her to drive or someone jumping from the side of the road and doing something to me. Neither happens and she just slumps down balling her eyes out. I go to the back of the car to get an umbrella and she starts screaming, "DON'T LEAVE ME, PLEASE!" I get the umbrella and we ask her some more questions.

We find out that the vehicle she was in was her own. It was an SUV and that he turned off a dirt road somewhere and stopped and then she got out and ran. We try to keep her calm and are wondering if this is real or if she is crazy.

The cops (Langston) arrive and try asking some questions, but she can't remember her phone number or what type of SUV other than it's a white Ford. Each time one of them would step away, again, she would scream 'don't leave me' over and over. They call for a Payne County Sheriff because we are still in Payne County. At this time, she pleads for us to take her home and call her husband. While on their way, we find out her age, her husband's name and that they own their own electrical business.

Payne County show up and ask for her phone number but she doesn't remember it. She also doesn't remember her tag number to her car. I ask if her car is a work car, thinking a lot of electrical businesses have their name and number on there, she says it wasn't. She also was not carrying anything. I asked her if he said his name or made any phone calls and she said he threw her phone out the window.

Soon, the ambulance arrives and she will not let go of me. They have to pull my arm away and she immediately grabbed one of the paramedics. They were gonna take her for an evaluation. My wife and I have to go to the Sheriff's office tomorrow and make a statement.

I hate to say this but I hope she was taken because I don't want her to be crazy. She was so distraught, was wearing a shirt referencing the state of Texas, and had a nice french manicure. My wife does nails, and I was like, crazy people don't have nails like that, do they!?!? Most of all I just hope they find out where she belongs. I can't get her screaming "Don't leave me and he is gonna get me" out of my head."

After posting this, my husband googles the name of the town and the name of the business she gave, which included her last name:
"even more freaky, there really is business in Waxahachie with their name

Estes Electric

and she said her husbands name was Gary" If you will notice the 4th entry from the map, he is mentioned.

"I just called the business number it gave me an emergency number. I called it and he, Gary, answered and he is on his way here to Stillwater and it was his wife. Wow, I am so glad my wife saw her. She (the lady) told us that no one was stopping for her."
I actually saw several cars drive by without even slowing down. This is a woman, at night, on foot! Is there no concern? She's also lucky no one hit her. She was on a two-lane, very dark highway.
Also, about the same time we found her, Gary was reporting her missing. And about the same time we were all headed into Stillwater, he was being called by his local police about her whereabouts.

"I just got off the phone with a sergeant from Waxahachie. They found her car not far from where we found her, but didn't tell me if they had found the man who took her."

On our way back home (we had to go back home, because this morning we have to make a statement at the sheriff's office), I said to hubby 'okay, I'm going to be my weird self' and he picked up where I was going and said,
"we had to leave late."
We were running sooo late. And we had been arguing about it, even. And I was driving. I never drive at night. And we went the back way (hubby doesn't go that way). I guess just everything was put into motion for us to find that lady. For all we know, that guy had chased after her and lost where the car was and was, himself, also roaming around that area (weilding a gun) and looking for her.
Thank you, GOD, that he didn't stumble upon us while we were waiting with her (before the police got there)!!!
Okay, gotta get ready for the police statement. God bless everybody and take care of yourselves.

"just a kid"

My sister gave my son this "toy" that teaches you math. People are finding me and contacting me. I think it is cool, actually. But yet, still weird. I am always reminiscing in my mind about events and people and what-not. And that always causes me to wonder if they remember me like I remember them? And do they think about the kinds of things I think about, if they do remember me? And are the thoughts happy, sad, angry, or what? You know?
The person who found me that I mentioned in my previous post remembered something that I didn't even remember. And I guess I caused him to have a love for redheads for the rest of his life. I find that so flattering, yet kind of sad. Sad, because I never even knew he liked me. Granted, it was in 3rd (?) grade, but still. How many people did you have crushes on and they never knew? How many had crushes on you? You may never know. And some people don't care about things like that. But I am one who does. It's nice to know that people like you, even if you don't find out for 20 years. When you do find out, it makes your heart kind of dance. They like me, they like me. It makes you smile.
Of course, then that makes me start to think about the jerks in jr. high and high school who didn't like me. The ones who, when I would tell them how I feel, they would literally laugh in my face and make fun of me. Who does that? And are they suffering now? Did karma pay them a visit? Sometimes I hope so, but sometimes (because of my niceness)I hope not and that they are doing fine. (Maybe just get papercuts more often than normal, or something.) :)
Anyway, can't wait to find out who found me this time!
And I need to update my pics, because this particular Salazar name made me want people to know I'm not so "fat" in the face anymore. :) ha ha.
Although, that will change soon, because we are planning baby #3!! If you could see me now . . .
tears running all the way down my chest. (really, they are) My grandmother always said she never saw anyone whose tears traveled like mine do. This was the saddest thing I have ever read at almost 3 in the morning. The whole time, I was saying to the lady, "just quit what you're doing and be with your kids." Seriously, that was what I was saying. She was pissing me off. I know a few people who really need to read this. Just yesterday, I created a new "schedule" in hopes of doing more with the kids. Yes, cleaning is on there, but not much. I actually made a two week schedule to get the house in order. I was supposed to start today, but I just didn't get to it. :) The kids wanted to finger paint! And we had to do it outside! And they had to change their clothes a kagillion times (because Parker is many, many different superheros . . .) And then Dora came on. And we had to go get something to eat and take it to eat with daddy at work. And later, "So You Think You Can Dance" was on and while I watched, Lydia danced along and went back and forth between rooms, playing. Parker did the same. But many of my days are like this. Messy house, dishes piled up, toys strewn all OVER the house! But I really don't care. The main reason I care, is when the in-laws are coming over. Because they make comments to each other and then I hear about it later. But I will NEVER miss visiting my kids because I chose to clean my house, like my mother-in-law has. Or spend time tidying up the kitchen, which is already basically spotless, while my guests are in the other room chatting and wondering what I am doing (like said mil). Why do you think I have chosen to homeschool? Because, unlike some women, who say they can't wait for school to start so they will have time for themselves, I want to be around my kids as much as possible. I just hope they will continue to feel the same way about me.
~Pascha

I hope you use this to realize what is most important in your life. Realize it now before it is too late.

weird things from the past

So I get this random e-mail on my business site from someone I guess I knew in elementary school! Maybe it's a secret admirer from my past who has decided to stalk me! That'd liven up the life a little, huh? Not that my life lacks action and excitement. Long time no see! I have been sooooo busy lately! As usual, I have too much on my plate. I started homeschooling Parker and he actually comes to me and says, "Can I do homeschooling now?" So cool! I'm taking it slow and relaxing in the beginning, so he doesn't feel forced to do anything. He IS still a little young. I want him to WANT to learn! And so far, it is working. He is so proud of himself right now, because he can read the word "STOP". He knows how to sound it out, but he forgets what the "T" is called. He always says, "what's that second letter?"
We have a bunch of computer games for learning, but most are too old for him still. He wants to play them and then has to have me do it all. When I try to get him to play the younger games, he says, "but those don't teach me anything. I'm not learning." I explained that those younger games still teach him by working his thinking part of his brain. So now, he will pick out one of those games and say, "I want to teach my brain." So funny.
Of course, I am doing a million other things right now, too. So I will try to post again soon, but don't hold it against me if I don't!
~Pascha

The Sleepover

My brother and sis-in-law had to go out of town friday night and won't be back until Sunday morning. Two of the three cousins are here, sleeping over. It's the first one. So far, it's been good. The older cousin (4 yrs) tries to throw a fit when things don't go his way. He's tired, so he's being passive-aggressive. Right now they are fighing over the covers. oh well. It's somewhat quiet fighting.

I hope I get more sleep tonight than last. I've been kinda lethargic all day and I need my energy tomorrow, because they will be here ALL DAY. Not that I don't want them to be. I was just really tired to start with today.

The reason I was so tired is I had my first game night last night. Four ladies plus myself. They each brought two kids, and one brought three. Well, there's also a one month old, but he doesn't count. He was attached to his mommy the whole time. So, that was a total of 11 kids! But it really didn't seem like that many. It was fun. We'll start doing it on a regular basis.

Okay, back to the sleepover. The younger cousin just came over and said, "Give me more milk!" And yes, it was very demanding. I said, "excuse me? what do you say?"
Her: "more!"
me: "no. what do you say?"
her: "more!" *giggle*
me: "no. what do you say?"
her: "more!"
me: "you say Please."
her: "pwease!!" still demanding
The girl's crazy.

Well, the older cousin is asleep. Here are a couple pics. The first is from before dinner and the other is from when we first got the pallet leaid down. Wish me luck on tomorrow. :p

It's The Final Countdown!

No, not to the new year. Although that is true, too.

I have officially declared Mon, January 9, 2006 as our Official Beginning of Homeschooling!! Dat-ta-dah! That is also "Coming of Age Day" in Japan, if that means anything. Anyway, that gives me time to put away all the Christmas decorations after the 1st, straighten up and prepare the area I plan to use for our "schooling" and continue to prepare Parker for what is to come. He seems very excited about it whenever I talk about it. He wants to learn so much stuff! "what letter is that?" "how does it sound?" "can I help you cook?" "how does a fossil get made?" "why does food get 'bad'?" "are there kids in the cemetary, too?" "why do things die?" "how do I write my name?" "why do girls have boobies?"
Yes, he asked ALL of these questions and many more. And we are about to embark on something brand new to both of us. Something that will unlock a plethora of new questions. Something that may, at times, cause me to ask myself "why?" as well. I will just have to keep these thoughts in my mind when that happens:
~We don't have to get up earlier than I feel like to get to school.
~We don't even have to get dressed if we don't want to.
~We can go on vacation in October if want.
~Field trips can happen a lot more often.
~My kids will be getting constant, one-on-one interaction with their teacher--me!
~If there is a trouble spot, no one "waits" while the trouble spot is figured out.
~If there is a "that's easy!" idea, that child can move on without having to "wait".
~LOTS of hands-on activities which help solidify the idea(s).
~More playtime, fun time; less "stay seated, no talking". You know, the whole notion that homeschoolers lack in social skills is so ludicrous! When do kids get to socialize in public school? Did you know some schools don't even allow talking at lunch time?! Absolutely absurd!
~Many, many other benefits to mention.

Well, I wish I could "convert" everyone, but I know that will never happen. And I don't think poorly of those who don't homeschool. It's not for everyone. But it IS for me. So, please don't think poorly of me. Try to be open minded and trust that I am doing what I feel is right for my children and myself. Also, please know that my mother has a Master's degree in education and has taught most grades from 1st to 12th. She wholeheartedly supports my decision to homeschool and wishes she had done the same.

So, now that I'm off my soapbox (for now), please know that I am excited and anxious as I prepare for this new journey in my family's life.
Talk to you later,
Party Pascha

Thursday 13 for Dec. 29, 2006

Thirteen Things Party Pascha got for Christmas

1. First and foremost, a Gamecube. It's the only thing I asked for from Hubby, so I got it a few days early when he made me go with him to get it. I love it!
2. My brother & sis-in-law got me a card game called Quiddler. It's cool. You build words from lettered cards. There's even a solitaire version, so I can play when no one else wants to.
3. My parents got me a hanging pot rack. Something I desperately need. The house truly lacks storage space!
4. My sister got us a gift card to Rib Crib and put more $$ on it than I would have expected! Thanks, Sam! Tuesday night, all you can eat ribs, here we come!! :P
5. My mother-in-law got me a griddle to put over the burners on the stove. Finally, I can cook pancakes for everyone--at the same time! or eggs AND bacon (or sausage or BOTH) at the SAME time! Awesome. :)
6. She also got me the game: Name that Tune, 80's edition. Totally sweet! We already played it once.
7. My parents got me a nice wind chime. It's 5 feet long! With the wind we have here, I'm concerned for our safety if we hang it outside. :) Ammie got one, too. She already hung hers. I guess safety is no concern of hers. :P
8. My other sis-in-law (hubby's sis) got me a nice orange purse. Orange because we are BIG OSU fans. (that's Oklahoma State University for those who don't know which OSU I'm referring to)
9. My grandmother got us a "Smoothee-Bar". Well, that's what it says on the box. It's a smoothie blender thing.
10. My littlest sister made me some soap and some hairclips. Very cute. I like them very much.
11. My parents gave me some new sheets for our bed.
12. And I got a nice "going out" outfit from mother-in-law.
13. Various other "little" gifts like trivets and pistacios in jars.

I didn't do this post to brag about what I got, I just received very close to 13 gifts and thought that would be a good TT. I hope you understand. :)
I hope your Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate was a good one. And may you have a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Links to other Thursday Thirteens!
1. Sleeping Mommy
2. Ivy Tied Up
3. Squashed Toad
4. "D"
5. Greek Goddess
6. uisce
7. jk :)
8. Yellow Rose
9. Agog and Aghast
10. mrs. fun
(Leave your link in comments so I can add you here)

Get the Thursday Thirteen code here!

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Weird. Also, if you can't read it, try highlighting the post. I didn't have time to try to change the color of the words. This may sound totally gross to some of you, but I love marshmallow creme on crackers. I'm one of those sweet & salty people. And that little unhealthy snack totally hits the spot sometimes.
2. I don't have a stocking for my daughter. She's 15 months (so she was here last year for Christmas) and I still don't have one for her. I made the three we have for us and my son. I would like for them to match, but I don't have the fabric anymore. Would it be so bad if I waited until next year to update the stockings? I just don't have time right now.
3. All this time (since before Thanksgiving) Parker has been asking for 2 main items for Santa to bring him. Yesterday he sees something on t.v. and says he wants that now. "Well Santa has already picked out what he's going to bring you. You can't change it now. Maybe I can get it for you for your birthday later."
Him: "But I really want it for Christmas. I don't need the other thing."
Me: "Well, I'm sorry, but I don't think he's gonna bring it."
(ugh!)
4. Inlaws are annoying. Enough said.
5. I plan on homeschooling. My mom, dad, and littlest sister support me. The rest of them and the inlaws, too roll their eyes whenever it comes up and act like my kids are gonna be a bunch of social rejects who don't know a damn thing. First of all, why even say anything? Haven't you ever heard of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."? And secondly, how can people be so ignorant? Homeschoolers are on the rise and so are their successes. On average, homeschoolers score higher on tests than their "regular" school peers. They tend to be learning at least 2 grade levels above their peers. And they don't miss out on anything. They actually have more opportunities for activities than "regular" school. (At least they do where I live.) Anyway, I'm just really getting sick of the negativity by others. I'm a smart person. I'm not an idiot. I'm not going to hinder my children's education. I'm trying to make it better. Enough said.
6. I love Christmas! I love the lights and the music. We got a real tree this year. I picked the kind with the really soft needles. I think it's called a white pine. BUT! I didn't realize not only are the needles soft, but so are the branches. We had to cut back and limit the number of ornaments we hung this year, because they pull on the branches too much. It's nice and simply decorated and I have to say I like it. It's pretty.
7. I don't like to wear shoes. Even in winter. In the summer I even drive without shoes. I LOVE being barefoot!
8. I don't care much for coats either. They're just too bulky. And I always need to take it off once I'm inside the car or building. So why even put it on?
9. I don't shave my legs from fall to spring. And my husband doesn't mind, because the longer I go without shaving, the softer the hair. So it's not gross or annoying to him. Plus, it's blonde/reddish so you can't see it THAT clearly. :)
10. I am a big time procrastinator! It's hard to break the habit, too.
11. I have a hard time making rules for my kids that I don't agree with. Just because other parents have those rules doesn't mean I have to. But they sometimes look at me like I'm from another planet. I just don't believe in certain rules. That's my perogative. Deal with it.
12. My sister-in-law says I'm too nice to people. I don't understand this. When I'm being "too nice" it's usually because I'm thinking of the 'do unto others' rule and I'd want someone to do the same for me. What's wrong with that?
13. I love kitchen gadgets. My new "want" is The Magic Bullet. It's pretty cool.

Links to other Thursday Thirteens!
1. Jen's Horde
2. Running 2ks
3. Happy at Home
4. Musings from the Edge
5. Sleeping Mommy

Get the Thursday Thirteen code here!

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. This morning, he went downstairs, got into the fridge for a piece of "be-yony" (bologna) and a hotdog, wrapped the hotdog with the "be-yony" and put it in the microwave. He then (as he later told us) pushed "all the buttons" and came upstairs. I was asleep during all of this and was awakened to the smell of charred something. As I was going downstairs, Parker says to me, "The be-yony is gross. It's scary."
Me: "Did you try to cook some bologna?"
Parker: "yeah. It's scary now. It's all black"
So I get to the microwave. It is totally charred. We are so lucky it didn't catch fire or something. WHAT are we going to do with him?!
By the way, the brown on the paper towel was already there, not from this instance. The item on the left is the hotdog. The be-yony unrolled to the right.

Thirteen Things on Party Pascha's mind

1. Happy Thanksgiving!
2. The shop is FINALLY all moved!
3. We need a new Christmas tree.
4. I want to put up the tree tomorrow.
5. I put Lydia's hair up in a "Pebble's" pony tail today. Very cute!
6. dirt keeps getting into our water pipe. I don't know how, but it is totally gross!
7. After realizing I had an extra $200 in the bank, I now know I CAN save money! Yea me!
8. I have a lot of cleaning to do at the house, now. All the "extra" stuff from the shop is now at the house! UGH!
9. Last Saturday, we went out with hubby's sister for her birthday. I got all dressed up b/c we were going dancing. In the car, Parker (3 1/2 years old) says to me, "Momma, you got a holla back boody" I kid you not.
10. What do I do with all the toys that I want to keep but still make room for the new ones?
11. I can stay home all day if I want to, now that the shop is delivery! woo hoo! Pajamas all day long, baby!
12. The shop's new website is www.modceramics.com visit and tell me what you think.
13. Isn't weird how genetics work? I mean cousins acting exactly alike! So weird.
Links to other Thursday Thirteens!
1. All These Things Shall Give Thee Experience
2. Sleeping Mommy

Get the Thursday Thirteen code here!

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. I hate moving and packing and moving. ugh! But it's all almost over!

2. I used to feel like I had to go "do" stuff away from the house, but now that I won't have to "go" anywhere most of the time, I feel like I can finally enjoy my kids. At home. How relaxing.

3. I have never been much of a housekeeper. (Well, that's not true. I cleaned constantly when I was in jr. high and high school. But I kept up with it, so it was easy, mostly.) But lately, I have been trying to keep up with stuff, so it doesn't get so out of hand again, and Chris said to me: "why are you doing so much wifey stuff?" I guess it freaked him out or something.

4. I wish I had more traffic to my site like my sis-in-law . Maybe if I stay on top of posting . . .

5. I hate trying to figure out what to get my in-laws for Christmas. Not you, Ammie. Them. I think Chris should have to do his own family. But I do all the shopping.

6. Does my son smoke crack when I am not looking? He comes up with some of the most off the wall stuff sometimes. And then of course I forget what was actually said, so I can't even share. But it made no sense, but was so funny.

7. We watched The Ring Two the other day. Man, those movies are messed up! But I do like freaky movies!

8. I had my first delivery last week. It was for a birthday party. This first delivery kicked off the new "format" of the business officially. It's exciting for me.

9. Why 13? Is it supposed to signify something?

10. Is anybody else tired of all the abbreviations used on the computer or is it just me? And if others are tired of it, why do they continue to follow like a herd of cattle? I think it's just laziness. Sorry to offend anyone who does it, but damn! half the time I have NO IDEA What the hell you are saying! It's really annoying. Maybe it's just me.

11. Dishes are a lot easier to do when they aren't piled to the ceiling.

12. Why was it in the mid 80's in NOVEMBER?!! What was going on with the weather? It's almost Thanksgiving, Miss Mother Nature! Were you taking a vacation or something? Geesh! Of course, now . . . it's freezing and my heater broke. At least it's the downstairs one and we can just stay upstairs mostly.

13. Ah, lucky 13. I think I have a gas problem. I burp like all the time. It's crazy, but Parker thinks it's funny. Ah, the humor of a 3 yr. old.

Links to other Thursday Thirteens!
(leave your link in comments, I’ll add you here!)
1. sleeping mommy
2. jen's horde
3. My Prairie Rose

Get the Thursday Thirteen code here!

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Puzzles, mind games, strategy, and just silly games. We already own an original Playstation, a Playstation 2, and an XBOX. But the kind of games I absolutely LOVE to play aren't available on any of these systems. So, after about oh, 2 seconds of thinking what I want my husband to get me for Christmas, I said a Game Cube. It's the cheapest of all the systems, but in my personal opinion, it has the BEST games! The kiddy type character games that a 10 yr old can get through in a day. But for me, it takes a while, but I love every minute of it. I've heard they coming out with a new Game Cube, called Game Cube Revolution. It's supposed to be pretty dang awesome. But it won't be out until Spring. I've wanted a Game Cube for over 2 years now. I just don't want to wait any longer. Besides, the new one will be in the price range of those other ones and I don't want to spend that much. I'll get the Revolution later down the line when the price comes down, like they always do.
As far as other games I would like, just visit my wishlist over there on the right side. It's ridiculous how many games are out there! 90% of the items on my wishlist are games. Crazy, but that's what I like.
So what do you like? What's on your wishlist? What have you wanted for a while and never gotten?

too busy

I was planning on doing the Thursday 13, but I got too busy with the moving of the shop and totally forgot! Okay, the building is out of the picture and it will now be a delivery service. And today, the phone was ringing off the hook! Just from word of mouth! Totally cool! Oh, and I can't wait to see the website Jenny, at Digitally Essential is creating for us! It will have the logo I created, but with more funky retro additions. At least that's what I am hoping for . . . :)
I can't sleep lately because I just keep thinking about ways to advertise, etc. And now that about $1000 of overhead per month has been eliminated, we might finally get to make a profit!! (fingers crossed & whisper a prayer)
Well, I be going for now. Once the move is done, I'll have more time for blogging.
