[Visual Basic 6 programming] drawing graphs

I am new in visualbasic .

Can some one please help me .I need to measure current and voltage and be able produce graphically presentation of Current as well as voltage.

From the result I must be able to make a table which reflect Power factor.

I am using Visual basic in conjuction with Microcontroller chips.

I believe it is with your graphics card. From the desktop screen you can
right-click with the mouse to bring up display properties. Have your
program in a partial window and try playing around with the graphics
setting. My objects got stretched until I change the graphics settings.

laptop. My XP desktop has a squarish monitor; the laptop has a wide-angle

On the XP desktop all the Option Buttons in a program (and there are many of
them) display and work perfectly. On the Vista laptop, all but one of the
Option Buttons display as black, making the actual option impossible to
read. I have half-solved the problem by the use of speech-bubble tool tips
but, even then, the actual button is not easy to identify.

Any idea as to what causes this problem? Any idea as to how to solve it
properly by making white the background colour of each option button?

VB6 System color constants are not mapped correctly in Vista - I think they reasoned everyone would be on .Net (where Color is an object) by now!

In any event, something that looks great on your XP or earlier development machine may look odd on Vista and vice-versa.

You can check the OS version in code and use the appropriate color for the OS display.

There are a number of pieces you need.

1. the source needs to know to initiate the drag. Dragmode = automatic might be what you want. Also, OnStartDrag would be involved.
2. the destination needs to first say ok, you found me, and then needs to accept the drop. OnDragOver and OnDragDrop both involved.
3. you need to instantiate an object which is used to hold the details of the item being dragged. You might need to create your own object that descends from the basic one so you can add additional properties. See TDragObject (or TDragObjectEx).

You are asking the right questions.

The line of code you are asking about is called a method in java. A method is a piece of code that does not run by itself... instead, it has to be "called up" to run by another part of the program. Most methods get 'called up' and run, at which time their internal lines of code execute... and these internal lines of code make something happen.

But there is a special method, called main().
The main() method does not get called by another part of the java program. instead, the main() method is the "startup" method that runs as the program is beginning to do its tasks ( after it has been loaded and initialized).

the syntax : " public staic void main() " refers to the main() method's characteristics.
All of the words preceding the word main are considered modifiers.

The first modifier tells us the access control level for this method. If the access control modifier is "public"... that means that it can be called from anywhere. Conversely, if the access control modifier is "private"... that means the method can be called ONLY from within the current class.

The second modifier ( static) is an optional modifier that tells us that this method can be called even if there is no actual object of the enclosing class. Any method marked "static" exists and belongs to its enclosing class... it cannot be considered part of any of the class's instantiated objects.

The third modifier tells us what type of response the calling code should expect when it invokes the method. The return type is important because the calling code needs to know what to expect; a number, or a charater, or, perhaps nothing. If the return-type modifier is "void" .... that tells us that the method does not return any information to the calling code.

The part of the statement after the word "main" is called the method's arguments list. The arguments are the data items that are passed into the method from the calling code. The calling code ( or the start-up environment if this is a main method ).... might pass in a number, or a string of characters. or even a reference to an entire File. If the arguments list is " (String[] args) " this means that the calling code should pass in an array of String objects for the method to process.

You need to read some books on these subjects. The tactic of knowing these concepts by getting simple explanations will not work. You may be a very intelligent person... but you will still need the knowledge.

Hi,

Does any body know , how can I configure 404 custom error page in websphere , in a case when application is stopped , but WAS is running .

I found a way in tomcat , that we can set an error tag in apache-tomcat\conf\web.xml
and it detect the custom error jsp page in root.

also I want to mention that , I did try the way to set error tag in may application 's web.xml , but it didnt work , bacause when the application is not running , it's web.xml means nothing!

There is no prblem in connection to FTP server without Jboss.
I don't know where the problem is and
I wonder if Jboss needs special configuration for FTP?
