Why Halo 2 fails as a competitive game

Halo 2 is not a game of skill, well maybe it is but it's not the same skills you require to play a PC game. Rather than practicing recoil patterns for hours and learning every point to a map so that you can navigate it while flashed you just have to practice sniping, smashing your B button in and shooting the dude directly in front of you. Since you can't actually turn fast enough to get the guy behind you and the sound is nowhere near good enough to work out when someone is coming up behind you you'll never be able to get them except for one hell of a reflex shot or maybe a lucky jump. You may say 'but Halo 2 has a motion detection just for that purpose' but alas, a lot of people don't know how to play Halo 2 and turn that off even on Deathmatch or CTF gametypes. Oh and learning how to stick people with plasma grenades doesn't hurt either.

To create a successful clan you really only need 3 people in Halo 2. Those peopl are:

1. The Sniper - Basically the clan guard him until they get to the sniper rifle and he picks it up and goes and camps it up in some place that you have to execute several jumps to get up to so he can just snipe away to his hearts content.

2. The Camper n00b - This guy just grabs any gun and camps it up, usually near the sniper to pickoff anyone that gets close enough to kill him. His weapons of choice are the Battlerifle, Rocket Launcher or Shotgun.

3. The Whore - This guy just runs around the map whoring people with the Battle Rifle, Shotgun and if he can get it The Sword. This guy just has to learn one skill: reflex shots. The key to winning a battle on Halo 2 is to either have one of the uber n00b guns (Shotgun, Sniper, Sword, Rocket Launcher) or be the person to start shooting first. Just aim sort of near them and the game will automatically lock on and keep them in the middle of your crosshair. You have to turn a bit but there's nothing they can do unless they use the "Hammer The B Button" "skill" to kill you instantly or stick you with a plasma grenade.

Because clans are made of such lame positions Halo 2 isn't a good game for clan gaming therefore making itself fail as a competitive game. Halo 2 is pretty good for chillout gaming with mates though as you just grab a gun and run at em firing madly :D Gotta love how guns have no recoil and no accuracy loss for being in the air.

If Bungie doesn't address the issues with Halo 2 before releasing it on PC it's never going to take off. PC gamers aren't used to a game like this which is why Halo PC failed and Halo CE tried to salvage the broken wreck but also failed. The future aint looking too good for poor ol' Halo...

BMW For Safer Driving

Alright here's an article about a motorist/"guy" who was trapped in his car driving at almost 130mph (209.21472 km/h) for 60 miles (96.5km) after the accelerator jammed in his automatic BMW.

Alright first of all, this guy says:
"I had gone into the fast lane and I couldn't get the pedal off the floor. I used my hands-free phone and tried the AA to ask them what to do."
Cause you know the AA are going to magically stop his car or something, he then goes on to say

"At that point I wasn't panicking because I jammed my foot on the brake and that was keeping the speed to a steady 70mph (112 km/h)."
So uhh he wasn't panicked at this stage yet he decides to uhh not stop his car and just keep going. He could've cut the power to the engine....

"My brakes were burning out and starting to fail - that's when the speed really started to build," he said. "I could see the speed building to 120mph or 130mph (cbf converting these speeds)."
At this stage it never occured to him that the faster he goes the less likely he is of stopping? No, of course not....

His defense is:
"I couldn't turn off the ignition because it would have disabled the power steering and made it even more dangerous."
Well I think he could've turned it off back when he was going 112km/h, it's a lot easier to control your car without power steering at 112km/h than it is at 209km/h, the BMW doesn't even have power steering when the ignition is off, a $12k Toyota even has power steering with no ignition (might be USD, fucked if i care) and power steering does absolutely nothing when your going really fast anyway.

The funny thing is this guy wants to buy the same car again because he says "although there was a problem, it saved my life in that crash." now there's some soundproof logic.

I lost a ton of footage cause Windows Movie Maker sucks and certain parts of the movie are too fast but the slow-mo on the shotgun scene is intentional. I managed to get some of the death scenes to go with the music. I really need a new movie editor, especially one that can export to something other than WMV for all the Mac & Linux people out there.

Recently Quake 4 came out and i've been attempting to play it online but there are a certain bunch of people who think they are leet that play quake4 which are in fact complete and utter n00bs. These people are commonly known as "railgun users(lusers)".

These people think that they are skilled because they can point a gun at someone and get a one hit kill. They plauged quake2 and were somewhat fixed in quake3 by making it take two shots to kill someone but were still a major problem for people who just want to have fun. These people are the scum of quake, they will camp the railgun and be sure to hide somewhere so they can pick you off while you are fighting someone else. They are kill scavengers.

The worst thing about railguns in Quake 4 is that people with low fps can't use them at all. I'm guessing this is the vast majority of people. This gives a major unfair advantage to people with computers which can run Quake 4 exceptionally well.

In my opinion Raven Software should've delayed the railgun to a patch which they release in a years time or something when people's computers will be more up to spec. After all FPS gets to unplayable levels in multiplayer in certain area's. It's real fun not being able to move while some dude with his 'leet box' rails you. Pussies.

Be a man, don't use the railgun.

The Pacifier!

Well I was finally so bored that I bothered to watch the pacifier. I acquired this movie from my aunty who when burning it forgot to cut out all the advertisements and warnings you can't skip. If I were Justin i'd rate it 10/10 because i'm justin.

I knew it was going to be bad the moment i saw the words Disney Entertainment but I couldn't imagine just how bad it would turn out. For any of you sissys who are seriously contemplating watching this movie i'm going to spoil the damn simple plot for you all during this rant so go have a cry or something.

This movie is about a navy seal named Shane Wolf (Played by Vin Diesel) and starts off reasonably good. There is a boat transporting a hostage (The professor) which gets attacked from underwater by these navy seals. An underwater attack seems somewhat logical (If you take into account that there would be no chance of using Sonar to pick them up or just looking into the completely clear water).

However, being a disney movie as soon as they initiate a fight it switches to the point of view of another character and then the terrorists are mysteriously tied up or thrown overboard (Because it's impossible to climb back onto a boat). Anyway they get the professor off the boat and Shane Wolf (Diesel) is at the rescue chopper when the professor asks if he can call his family. Being the good guy that he is Shane lets the professor make the call and goes intot he chopper. Suprise, the pilot is dead so Shane quickly gets out of the chopper and then witnesses the professors death.

Now for some reason it jumps forward a couple years and he is given an assignment to guard the professors family(The Plummers) from terrorists and at the same time look for the weapon that the professor was working on.

Being a disney movie as well as protecting the kids Shane's going to have to give them some nice lessons about life and compeltely change their behavioural patterns. Since he is in the NAVY this should be no problem. He wakes them all up at 6 AM and makes them all do chores and work hard and shit that nobody really gives a damn but it's a good way to fill 15 minutes of bad film up.

The teenage boy in the family (Don't remember his name) is really into acting but he hasn't told anyone and is doing it after school. He is doing the sound of music and has some nazi outfit and the teachers and shit think he is a nazi. Anyway throughout the course of the movie oyu see this unfold as the acting coach gets angry at them all and then quits. However Shane (vinny) somehow takes over the acting class even though he only saw the play once when he was young and has no professional training whatsoever.

He also has problems with the wrestling teacher at his school because he is weak or something so at the end of the movie Shane decides to pwn him with one hand. At the very end of the movie you see him quit the Navy and join up as the wrestling teacher at the school. Kinda strange if you ask me because pro-wrestling, being a teacher and the Navy should really have nothing to do with each other. I find it halarious the amount of jobs this guy can pickup with no professional training whatsoever and not get into serious trouble with the government.

The little girl inthe family (Don't remember her name either) is a girlscout and has boys come over and trash their cookie stand quite a lot so Shane being the responsible adult that he is rather than talking to the boys parents teaches the girls some form of martial arts in less than a week and then the next time the boys come over they pwn them in a stupidly disney fashion.

There is a really young boy in the family too (Who I dont know the name of) and Shane has to change his diapers which is supposed to be funny I guess. To me it just puts more emphasis on the whole pedophile thing I wrote about just recently. (Not saying he is a pedophile, just saying something is up with that shit in general). Anyhow this little boy won't sleep without being sung the song his dad made up for him (The Peter Panda Dance, good thing this is a Disney movie eh?)

At the end of the movie Shane gets double crossed by the most ovbious villian and then has to help him get past the security sytem in the Plummer's secret underground storage facility (That is convieniently in their very own backyard) by doing the Peter Panda dance appropriately to dodge the many traps put in place.

That's pretty much all that really happens in the movie besides one attempt on the family's household to locate the invention by a couple dudes dressed in black ninja suits (with no weapons, typical disney).

Once again since im Justin this movie gets a 10/10 but on a much more serious level it's down around the 4-6 area. Watch if you are seriously bored or want to punish/torture someone for an hour or two. Rent, don't buy.

Our government does such a great job of removing pedophiles....They jail them for a couple years then put them back into the community near schools and kindergartens. What's even more amazing is the fact that nobody even knows until it leaks to the papers.

The thing is TV is doing nothing but helping out pedo's looking for a fix. You see all the baby lotion, nappies and shit advertisments with nude baby boys running around and shaking their ass at the screen and shit. That shit makes me feel sick, especially when i'm eating dinner watching TV. Who the fuck wants to see that on TV. I for one am appalled. Whose idea was it to give the clear on these advertisements. Do we want more pedophiles? Maybe it's good public image when the government nab these messed up individuals.

Work Experience: One Week Down

Well it's really weird, the first week of work experience is now over.

Well here's some shit about it:
* After standing up for an entire week my legs kinda hurt.
* After staying up late til past midnight the last 2 or 3 days and standing up all day, my head is seriously fucked.
* Working 9 til 5 for 5 days and getting $25 is a fucking rip, a big fuck you to whoever decided that one.

More Work Experience: More Cheap Labor

My first week of Work Experience is almost over, I've been doing it at Toy Kingdom in Greensborough. I never realised that September is such a busy month for retail, apparently it's when people do christmas shopping. I'd do mine a day before christmas :P anyhow in September retail outlets make 75% of their yearly income. Pretty cool I guess.

I've been working out back doing stock unpacking and price marking and getting the stock off the van and shit. Today we got shitloads of stock, they delivered an entire truckload of stock and then we got another 30 boxes. The back isn't very big and we have run completely out of room. I guess someone should've thought that through. They are going to be putting the priced catalog stuff onto shelves over Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon but since I only got 1 week here i'll only have to put up with one day of that =D

Work experience is pretty good I guess, beats school but what's with the massive under-pay of $5/day? I spend more time here than at school >_< oh well shit happens I guess.

Saturday is the town fair, looks like great weather! 8-)
