We are delighted to announce that our first underwired bras will be available to buy this Christmas!

This development has been a long time in the making and we are so excited to finally offer a complete range of lingerie. The first 2 styles of bra available will be Lady Coco [black with ivory trims] and Bedrock [leopard print with black trim] both made from a soft bamboo jersey.
We are initially launching with B, C & D cup sizes and 32, 34 & 36 back sizes, however we hope to expand the range to cater for larger sizes in 2010. The bras are all beautifully cut and sewn in Wales.

Have you ever fancied learning how to sew your own knickers? You can now! Join us in an intimate group of just 6 people where you will learn how to utilize your new skills to carry on making knickers from the comfort of your own home. You will be provided with basic knicker patterns as well trimmings such as fabrics, knicker elastics, laces, ribbons and buttons.

The Daisy Green team and I are really sorry to announce that we have been advised to postpone tomorrow's event due to the tube strike. We understand that it will prevent many of our guests coming and actually, as we were driving to set everything up (from Bath and Newcastle) we ourselves would find it a little tricky to get into the city centre.

Remember - its just a postponement. the Daisy Bra and Daisy Swish will come to London!!

On Thursday 11 June, DaisyGreenMagazine.co.uk, the ethical online women's magazine, will team up with eco-lingerie manufacturer, Enamore, to unveil a prototype of the 'best ever' ethical bra. Sales from the Daisy bra will raise funds for charities helping women to successfully breastfeed in the developing world.

Jo Wood, founder of Jo Wood Organics, has endorsed the bra saying "I love beautiful lingerie and I love all things organic. I also want to know where my clothes come from. The Daisy bra is made with care. It's organic, gorgeous and supports charity and boobs! Every girl should have one."

The idea for the bra came when the girls at Daisy Green Magazine were frustrated by the lack of desirable and supportive ethical bras on the market.

Nicola Alexander, Founder, said "The choice of ethical clothes is now better than ever before. But bras seemed to be lagging behind. Big boobed girls, in particular, have been left unsupported. Before we teamed up with Enamore, finding bras that were kind to the environment, pretty and practical was almost an impossible challenge."

The bra will be manufactured in the UK (no sweatshops and a lower carbon footprint) from organic cotton. Jennifer Ambrose, founder of Enamore, said "This bra is going to be beautiful, comfortable and suitable for women of any cup size from C to D. And there's a perfect symmetry in working with Daisy Green to create a bra that supports breastfeeding in poorer countries. We're so excited to be doing this.

Enamore to date has not been able to offer a supportive bra and we are delighted to be able to finally complete our offering with this important missing piece."

Each bra will be trimmed with hand-crocheted daisies made from a soft yellow bamboo wool. A donation from every one sold will go to charities which encourage breastfeeding worldwide through education and support. According to Unicef, exclusive breastfeeding is one of the most powerful tools we have to combat child hunger and death, and yet only 39 per cent of infants in developing countries are exclusively breastfed.

"With the new bra having a lower impact on the environment and supporting such a worthy cause, it will be a truly 'loving' cup that women will really want to fill." explained Nicola.

We are pleased to announce that Enamore will be present to showcase a very special lingerie development as well as to sell lingerie, clothing and accessories on the night.

E-tickets are now on sale for the swap that will take place on Thursday 11 June at the opulent, brand new surroundings of INC Space in Grape Street, London WC2.

With swishing now established as a new craze, 100s of people are expected bringing with them 1,000s of clothes. Nicola Alexander, Founder of ethical online women's magazine, daisygreenmagazine.co.uk, said:

"Swishing is a really fantastic way to beat the credit crunch and steer clear of fast fashion made in sweat shops. It is a great girls' night out and you can find some amazing bargains, including good-as-new garments from designer names. It's like a fashion treasure hunt!"

Ethical & Eco Fashion Show 2009 in Swansea

Enamore on the Welsh Catwalk
at the Eco and Ethical Fashion Show in Swansea

Enamore will be featured on the catwalk in Wales for the very first time this spring! We will be dressing our models in a delightful mix of lingerie and clothing accessorized by Nanny K hair fascinators and jewellery by designer Catarina Vassalo.

The show is a non-profit evening of fashion, shopping, music and networking in the beautiful city of Swansea. Organised by Helen Ball, a final year BA (Hons) Fashion student, experienced designer/pattern cutter and creative brain behind upcoming sustainable fashion label, Myella.

The event is to be taking place on Friday 3rd April 2009 at the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea from 6:00pm - 9:30pm. The aim of the evening is to raise awareness and funds for Fashioning an Ethical Industry (FEI) and The Environment Centre Swansea
All profits will be shared equally between the two organisations.

Tickets are priced at £4.50 for adults and £3 for concessions (Students, Children & Seniors) and can be purchased from The Environment Centre Swansea, Pier Street, Swansea SA1 1RY Tel: 01792 480200

At the centre of the evening is the fashion show showcasing the work of between 8-10 Welsh and UK designers/labels all of whom have ethics, sustainability and ecology in mind, including some showing at this years London Fashion Week! It is a chance to learn more about the fashion industry and it's impact on both garment workers and the environment, and what you can do as a consumer to help! From luxurious labels to urban wear to a school recycling project, this is an excellent opportunity for people to understand the dynamics in style and adaptability of the ever-increasing sustainable
fashion sector!
